Abigail Hilton was found as a young child wandering the orange groves of central Florida, where she’d apparently been living off citrus and road kill. She adapted well to life among the humans and learned to read voraciously. In no time at all, she’d made friends with her captors and convinced them to send her to college, where she was allowed to read nearly all the time. She remained disturbingly fascinated by the sight of blood and had a tendency to collect road kill on the sly. She accumulated several degrees, most of which were not very practical, but were lots of fun. She settled on a career in which she gets to keep people alive while surgeons cut them open with sharp objects. It’s the closest thing to magic she’s found here. Also, the surgical caps hide her pointed ears.
