I have returned with the contest prize for Lance! It’s a 3000 word story about Sevn, which I narrated myself. Things I mentioned: Thing number 1: Norm Sherman of The Drabblecast read one of my drabbles during a Geekspeak interview. Wee!! Norm has a huge part in Cowry Catchers, and if you are not listening [...] In this unscripted and largely unedited installment, I tell you: –I’m a Parsec finalist, and Norm Sherman and company will be standing in for me at Dragon Con. –My short story “Miranda and the Butterfly” is up at the Dunesteef. –I have a poem “Coral Reef” on Wander Radio. –I read “Toast” for the The [...] Hughes and I did the drawing on the 13th, but I haven’t had time to edit it until today. I will be writing a short story about Sevn for Lance. Hughes and I also give a list and discussion of all the podcasts we listen to. The discussion is not child-safe. Promos I played: FETIDUS [...] I finished the contest prize for Alex! Granted, it did take me a month instead of two weeks, but still not too long, and I produced it with a guest reader, music, and sound effects. The names will go into a hat, and Hughes and I will podcast the drawing on Sunday. Thanks to all who participated! One week left to get your entry in! If no one enters, everyone loses… The Dunesteef Audiofiction podcast bought a Panamindorah short story a while back and podcast it yesterday. This is part of Lexis’s backstory, and I think they did a great job. If you like short fiction podcasts, I recommend this one. While they are a speculative ficiton podcast, they also produce magical realism stories, ghost stories, [...] This is Nim (because sooner or later, all web pages must degenerate to pictures-of-my-cat). But, no, really, he’s in the episode! He’s a voice actor! No cats were harmed in the making of this podcast. In addition to Nim, this episode included the vocal talents of: Nathan Lowell (the Solar Clipper novels) [...] Aaaaand here’s Hughes and I babbling about this and that and responding to some of your feedback. I realized the next day that I’d completely forgotten to include feedback left as comments on the blog or on the Podiobooks site.
